AMSTERDAM, Netherlands -- Alkmaar missed the chance to go second in the Dutch table as Estonian striker Andres Oper scored twice for Roda JC Kerkrade in a 2-2 draw.

After his second goal Oper collected two yellow cards in eight minutes and was sent off with 11 minutes left.

Alkmaar are third on 41 points, 12 adrift of PSV Eindhoven, 2-1 winners over ADO Den Haag on Saturday, and one behind Ajax Amsterdam, who drew 2-2 at NEC Nijmegen, also on Saturday.

Oper opened the scoring for Roda midway through the first half with a brilliant lob over goalkeeper Ronald Waterreus after central defender Barry Opdam misjudged a long ball.

Opdam made up for his error after 64 minutes with a close range equalizer but seconds later Oper put Roda ahead again but his dismissal proved costly.

The 10 men conceded an 84th minute leveler when Danny Koevermans converted a cross from Opdam.

Heracles Almelo's hopes of claiming a fifth victory of the season were dashed by Fred Benson's 71st minute equalizer for visitors Vitesse Arnhem in a 2-2 draw.

Vitesse took an eighth minute lead through Danko Lazovic but Ragnar Klavan put Heracles level after 36 minutes and Everton gave them the lead five minutes before half-time.
