Berlin is no exception and, in fact, is fast becoming a centre for talented authors, poets, dramatists and screenwriters writing in the English language. "Bordercrossing Berlin" is a new English language literary magazine based in Berlin, publishing the International Writers of tomorrow. www.bordercrossing-berlin.com

Clean new facility with prices under 20 euro/night (shared rooms). Also a great bar and restaurant on the ground floor that had great low price beers all night and buffet breakfast in the morning. It also had a metro station right in front of the building. I'll stay here next time I go back. The other hostel I stayed at was near the Kaiser Wilhelm church and zoo area. It was overused, old and run down. The people there were definitely not customer friendly either.
