When I was an economics graduate student there more than 30 years ago, the city was full of parks, museums and art galleries. My wife and two infant daughters would spend entire days at the Botanic Gardens or walking along Byers Road without any of the anxiety of any American city urban environments. Glasgow is even more beautiful now. I challenge anyone to show me friendlier and chattier people than Glaswegians.

A very good example would be Belle and Sebastien - Reportedly formed in a 3 day insomia filled stint in an all night cafe somwhere in central glasgow. Now that would be a place to find.....?
