Special mention to the Mercado Colon, a Gaudi style modernist market transformed into a modern cafes and shops venue. Also I have loved the Turia Garden and I advise the Restaurant Brusselas in Calle San Vicente for excellent tapas. Last thing, great service for my apartment rental with accommodation-valencia.com. So go and visit this city!!!

• From: Richard Morris • Posted: Mar. 20, 2006 • Comment: I can't wait for "Maestro" Calatrava to do a The Scene piece from my hometown, Chicago, where he'll soon be building the tallest skyscraper in the U.S., the 2,000 foot high (609 meters) Fordham Spire.
• From: Fernando; Madrid • Posted: Mar. 17, 2006 • Comment: As a "valenciano" living in Madrid, I´m proud of my city, Valencia, and also proud of my colleague Santiago (I´m an architect too). If you visit our city, don´t forget to have a walk along "Calle de la Paz" (Peace street) or visit la "Plaza Redonda" (Round square) or just come into the "Iglesia del Patriarca" (Patriarch Church) or have a coffee in "Mercado de Colón" (Columbus Market) The memories of these places will be really indelible... Highly recomended.

• From: Tanya; Ljubljana, Slovenia • Posted: Mar. 16, 2006 • Comment: I visited Valencia 6 months ago, and up to now, i cant forget how beautiful it is! Santiago Caltrava has put a special sigh on the city, i love his arhitecture, and i ll travel arround the globe to see it more (that good he is)!! Beautiful, stylish, modern, impressive, white and sth we dont have in slovenia! We would need it badly for the country's sprits to be lifted a bit!
• From: Laura; Ipswich, UK • Posted: Mar. 14, 2006 • Comment: Valencia is a great city - I was there just this weekend for the start of the Fallas festival and the fireworks have to be heard to be believed. Definitely go to the Oceanografic - worth spending an entire day there and the shark tunnel is incredible. The one thing I would say is that although the Calatrava architecture looks fantastic a lot of it is still closed off to visitors. We couldn't get near the new concert hall.
