We are too cool for MTV, they keep asking us to let them come to Siesta Key to tape Spring break, and we always Deny them. For the Next 5 years, the price of new homes will decrease by 30%. We have THE worlds best beach, Siesta Key. You will find more Mercedes than Ford and The people are stuck up, but they have the decency not to pretend to like you. Old people everywhere, youth rise up! The people who were actually born here total 5 and everybody complains about the heat, but nobody will move from here. Believe it or not, Sarasota is in the national news almost everyday. We Booted out Katherine Harris, (YES! I HATE HER) and we voted for the great Bill Nelson... he and I share the same last name, go figure. In Sarasota, you can get a beautiful tan when you check the mail everyday. Sarasota leads the nation in underage drinking( I bought my first case of beer at 15 on a bet), and has more millionaires on the island of Longboat Key than there are illeagal aliens that clean the place up. Sarasota Film festival is where its at! Televisions Jerry Springer, AC/DC lead singer Brian Johnson, Multi-talented athlete Michael Jordan, blockbuster Stephen King all have owned Houses in Sarasota county. Paul Ruebens was arrested here on Lewd charges in a "Movie Theater". We were never, ever hit by any hurricane, but come close every single year. The Local media went nuts when we all thought that Brad and Angelina Jolie were rumored to have been wed at the magnificent luxurious Ritz downtown. In the City of Venice in Sarasota County, The terrorist who executed the 9-11 plot were trained to fly planes! on 9-11, President Bush was attending Booker middle school in Sarasota. We are home to the annual summertime Offshore Grand Prix. In 1955 Publix, the southern Supermarket Giant got its start with SRQ's first shopping center . Take a ride from Viscaya Museum to Coconut Grove to Fairchild Garden and see the beautiful ride.
