(CNN) -- The decomposed body of a young child was found Friday night floating in a lagoon where searchers have looked for two Milwaukee boys who disappeared nearly a month ago, police said. However, Milwaukee Police Chief Nan Hegerty said the body, which was clothed, has not been identified, and it was not known if the remains were those of either Quadrevion Henning, 12, or Purvis Parker, 11. "I'm not going to make any identification until we're sure," said Hegerty, who added that "it looks like the body has been in the lagoon for quite some time." The initial examination could not determine the body's race or whether it had suffered any trauma, she said. An autopsy was planned for Saturday morning, after which an identification might be made, she said. Friday night, divers were being sent back into the lagoon where the body was found. After Henning and Parker disappeared, the park around the lagoon was searched at least three times by officers on foot, and a dive team went down into the water, Hegerty said. The body was discovered Friday night by a man and his son who were walking through the park and saw the body floating on the water, she said. Henning and Parker were last seen March 19 as they headed off to play ball at a park near their homes in north-central Milwaukee.
