(CNN) -- As Tiger Woods is named PGA Tour Player of the Year for the eighth time in the past 10 years, we look at the golfing superstar's career in numbers and the prize money he has picked up along the way.

8: Number of times Woods has picked up the PGA title in the past decade. American golfer Mark O'Meara was awarded the title in 1998, and in 2004 the award was given to Fijian player Vijay Singh.

12: Number of major wins by Woods, including victories in the British Open and PGA Championship.

31: The next birthday Woods will celebrate on December 30.

$10 million: Amount in prize money won by Woods in a unanimous choice vote by his fellow tour players, after he won eight PGA Tour events.
