Business investment is picking up in the Middle East as the region records strong economic growth.
Arab Business Council & Corporate Arabia:
MME goes to Cairo for the annual gathering of the Arab Business Council (Nov. 17 & 18). Four years after its formation, the Council is coming into its own. Economic growth is strong, business investment is high and there's no shortage of companies keen to establish a presence in the region. But there's no room for complacency. "Face Time" with Sheikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa:
Sheikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa is the Chief Executive of the Economic Development Board of Bahrain, the organization behind the growth of the Bahraini economy. He tells MME about Bahrain's strengths as a business center and calls on countries to unite to resolve the dispute over Iran's nuclear ambitions.

Budget carriers take-off:
Flying in the Middle East doesn't need to be expensive... anymore. MME takes a look at the region's new 'no frills' airlines. The likes of Air Arabia and Jazeera Airlines now cater for 7 percent of the region's travellers. Should more established carriers be concerned? E-mail to a friend ![]()
