LONDON England (CNN) -- What is it: Tri-Enzyme Resurfacing Facial.

Despite its scary, scientific sounding name, this facial is incredibly relaxing and very effective. The facial targets fine lines and blemishes, claims to resurface the skin by up to 75 percent and increase skin smoothness. The serum used removes outer layers of skin to achieve a sort of baby's bottom-style softness.

How long does it take: An hour.

Verdict: This was the best facial I've ever had. Afterwards I looked about 10 years younger (like I was 12) and all glowy like I was in love or pregnant (I was neither). Although the enzymes used in the treatment are quite strong (I could feel them stinging my face slightly) the treatment was highly relaxing. It started with a foot massage then moved onto the facial. At various points during the facial as products were resting or working away quietly, there was a head massage with Elemis oils and a neck and shoulder massage.

Best thing: The massage that went along with facial was great. Lovely staff explained the products without using too much jargon.

Worst thing: The facial was faultless, although I thought the Balinese-themed treatment room was a bit naff. Why do these rooms need a theme? You are lying under a towel, hooded and masked and unable to appreciate the decor. Also price is a bit on the steep side.

The after effects: There were none of the nasty eruptions that sometimes happen to the skin following some facials. My skin looked great and I felt very chilled out.
