LONDON, England -- England World Cup hero Jason Robinson bowed out of professional rugby with a dazzling display in a 22-5 victory for the Barbarians over South Africa at Twickenham on Saturday.

Robinson gives the thumbs up after receiving a warm farewell at Twickenham.
Former rugby league star Robinson was playing his 538th competitive match, including appearances in the last two World Cup finals.
His last competitive match had been in England's losing effort to South Africa in Paris and he had a measure of revenge against a team containing five of the winning Springboks.
"We won the last game I've played in and I'll take some wonderful memories away with me.
"If I could have written a script it wouldn't have been as good as this. It's been fantastic," said Robinson who scored the only try of Englands' s 2003 World Cup final win over Australia.
A typical side step by the full-back set up the Barbarians's second try for Martyn Williams just before half-time.
The Barbarians, whose matches do not have full international status, scored up three tries, from Australia's Matt Giteau, Wales back-row Williams and Wallaby forward Rocky Elsom to one from uncapped Bok forward Barend Pieterse.
Robinson received an emotional ovation fron the 58,000 crowd when he was replaced with 12 minutes remaining.
South Africa coach Jake White, overseeing his last match in charge of the world champions, saluted Robinson: "Jason has been one of the great players in both codes and it was good to see the emotional send-off he got.
"The atmosphere reflected his achievements and he deserves the accolades," he said. E-mail to a friend ![]()
