Vajs given Macedonia squad call-up

SKOPJE, Macedonia -- Macedonia coach Sreco Katanec has included Rabotnicki Skopje defender Miroslav Vajs in his 19-man squad for the Euro 2008 qualifier against Croatia in Zagreb on March 24.

Strikers Goran Pandev and Ilco Naumoski, who missed Macedonia's 2-0 defeat to Russia last November due to suspension, are also in the squad .

Macedonia are fourth in Group E with seven points from five matches trailing England, who have a game in hand, on goal difference.

Croatia lead with 10 points from four games, followed by Russia on eight.

Macedonia squad:

Goalkeepers: Jane Nikolovski (Slaven Koprivnica), Tome Pacovski (Rabotnicki Skopje).

Defenders: Goce Sedloski (Mattersburg), Miroslav Vajs (Rabotnicki Skopje), Nikolce Novevski (Mainz), Aleksandar Vasovski (Eintracht Frankfurt), Robert Popov (Litex Lovech), Vlade Lazarevski (Groclin Grodzisk).

Midfielders: Igor Jancevski (Enozis Neon), Velice Simolikoski (Bursaspor), Darko Tasevski (Metalurg Zaporozhya), Aleksandar Mitreski (Cologne), Vlatko Grozdanovski (Omonia).

Strikers: Goran Pandev (Lazio), Goran Maznov (Lokeren), Ilco Naumoski (Mattersburg), Stecica Ristic (Chonbuk Motors).
