(CNN) -- World Sport reporter Pedro Pinto looks at the recent successes of Spanish team Sevilla, following their victory in the UEFA Cup final. Viva Espana! The UEFA Cup final was a celebration of Spanish football and Sevilla proved why, at the moment, they are one of the best teams in Europe. To be fair, until just a couple of years ago, the Andalucia region of Spain was known more for its calamari and paella than for its football. But Sevilla have changed all that. Juande Ramos' side captured a second straight UEFA Cup crown by beating Espanyol and could be on their way to a historic treble. The Seville club is also in the final of the Copa del Rey, Spain's domestic cup competition, and could also win the league title. And the Andalucians have not only won, but they've done it with style. In my opinion, Sevilla have some of the most talented forwards on the continent. Frederic Kanoute is having the best season of his career, with 27 goals to his name in all the competitions. The Mali international is been hailed in Spain as one of the best strikers in La Liga and has shown that Tottenham made a mistake in letting him go. Furthermore, the signing of Aleksandr Kerzhakov in the winter transfer window added a new look to the front line. The Russian international has linked well with Kanoute, providing a series of assists as well as some crucial goals. Add South Americans Luis Fabiano and Ernesto Chevanton to the mix, and you have enough firepower to last you a whole season. I couldn't talk about Sevilla without mentioning goalkeeper Andres Palop who has been the best player in the UEFA Cup this season. In the last 16, the 33-year-old scored a dramatic goal against Shaktar Donetsk that kept his team in the competition, and then in the final, he saved three penalties to lead his side to victory. Palop, who previously played for Valencia and Villarreal, will never forget this UEFA Cup campaign. So what comes next for Sevilla? They will be hoping the hangover after celebrating Wednesday's victory won't last long. It's just that there's a distinct possibility they could beat giants Real Madrid and Barcelona to Liga title.
