LONDON, England -- Republic of Ireland striker Robbie Keane has signed a new five-year contract with Tottenham, which will keep him at the club until 2012. The 26-year-old has been at Spurs since August 2002 and has scored 84 goals -- 22 of them last season. Keane made his 200th appearance for Tottenham on the final day of the season, scoring a goal in the 2-1 win over Manchester City to help Spurs finished fifth in the Premier League. "I have felt really settled and happy at Spurs and that is probably one of the reasons I have played the best football of my career here," Keane said. "It is an exciting time to be at the club and I am looking forward to even better seasons ahead." Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy said Keane had been an influential member of the squad. "He is an individual who is loyal and professional and we are delighted he will be with us long term," Levy said. Zigic ruled outSerbia striker Nikola Zigic will miss this weekend's Euro 2008 qualifier in Finland after having surgery on a facial injury suffered on Sunday. The Racing Santander forward will be out of action for up to five weeks after suffering the blow during the 3-2 Primera Liga defeat by Levante on Sunday. Doctors had to insert a plate and five screws in the bone around his eye, the Spanish club said on their official Web site on Monday. Racing's top scorer will miss the last two games of the league season as well as being unavailable against Finland.
