MARSEILLE, France -- France striker Djibril Cisse has made his stay at Olympique Marseille permanent after an agreement was reached with Liverpool, the Ligue 1 club said on Friday.

Cisse, who joined Liverpool for a then club record fee of £14million ($28.1 million) three years ago, moved to Marseille on loan from Liverpool last year. Marseille gave no details on the deal.

Marseille also signed Boudewijn Zenden from Liverpool on a free transfer earlier on Friday.

Romania defender Cristian Chivu has said he wants to stay at AS Roma or move to Inter Milan following the collapse of his transfer to Real Madrid.

His 18 million euro ($24.5 million) move to the Bernabeu stalled on Thursday because of the player's salary demands, Real president Ramon Calderon said.

"Either I go to Inter or I stay at Roma," 26-year-old Chivu told Italian media on Friday, despite Serie A champions Inter saying on Wednesday they had pulled out of negotiations.

Agent Victor Becali said on Thursday : "Real Madrid's wage offer was way below Inter's proposal. Chivu will remain with Roma unless Real make a new offer. Inter made Chivu a good offer but the clubs were unable to agree on a transfer fee."

The former Ajax player, who has one year left on his Roma contract, was one of Serie A's top defenders last season when Roma finished second.

Deportivo Coruna have reached an agreement to sell Portugal centre-back Jorge Andrade to Juventus, the Primera Liga side said.

"The Portuguese international will travel to Turin in the next few days to finalise the details of his move to the Italian team," Deportivo said on their Web site.

Andrade joined Deportivo from Porto in 2002 and has been a fixture in the back four ever since.

Spanish media reported that Juventus would pay in the region of 10 million euros for the 29-year-old.

Juventus were demoted to the Serie B last year in the wake of the match-fixing scandal, but will return to the top flight next season having won promotion at the first attempt. E-mail to a friend E-mail to a friend
