LONDON, England -- Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is expected to announce on Friday that he has at last agreed a new contract with the Premier League club.

Speculation about Wenger's future increased with the departure of Henry and Dein.
According to the BBC he will sign for another three years for around four million pounds ($8.08 million) a year.
There had been much speculation over Wenger's future at the Emirates Stadium after the transfer of striker Thierry Henry to Barcelona and the departure of vice-chairman David Dein, who brought Wenger to Arsenal.
There is still uncertainty at the club, with American billionaire Stan Kroenke showing a keen interest in getting involved and Dein having recently linked up with Alisher Usmanov at the head of 'Red and White Holdings'.
Wenger said recently: "It is down to me if I want a longer contract or not and there is a takeover, because I know from the moment I sign that it can happen."
Wenger joined Arsenal in 1996 guided them to the double in 1998 and 2002.
In 2003 he became the only Premier League manager to take his team throughout the whole season without a defeat. E-mail to a friend ![]()
