LONDON, England -- Nancy went back to the top of the French Ligue 1 standings with a stylish 3-1 victory at Monaco on Friday night.

Nancy delight is obvious as they celebrate an excellent 3-1 win in the principality.
It leaves them three points clear of reigning champions Olympique Lyon who are in 10th round action at Bordeaux on Sunday.
Monaco started strongly at the Stade Louis II stadium and had several good openings, but Nancy struck after 31 minutes as Kim latched onto a free kick from Benjamin Gavanon to give them the lead.
The league leaders took just seven minutes to extend her lead as they scored on the counter-attack with Sebastien Puygrenier crossing for Issiar Dia to score smartly.
Two minutes into the second half and Nancy were three up as Kim netted his second of the game with a superb individual effort.
Monaco salvaged some respectability as the giant Czech striker Jan Koller headed home after some excellent work from his young Columbian colleague Juan Pablo Pino on the left.
Nancy duly completed their seventh win of the season from nine matches to continue their surprise title charge.
In Bundesliga action on Friday night, Borussia Dortmund gave themselves a lift by beating VfL Bochum 2-1 at home despite being reduced to ten men when defender Christian Woerms was sent off in the 58th minute.
The home side opened the scoring when Brazilian midfielder Tinga fired home after 16 minutes.
Bochum leveled through Polish striker Marcin Mieciel ten minutes before the break.
Despite Woerms' exit it was Dortmund's Federico who scored the winner in the 70th minute. E-mail to a friend ![]()
