ROME, Italy -- European champions AC Milan continued their dismal home form at the San Siro as they were beaten 1-0 by Serie A title challengers Roma on Sunday.
Kaka shows his frustration as Milan slip to another home league defeat.
Milan have gone five games at their home stadium without a win, losing the last two and are lanquishing in mid table, fully 11 points behind crosstown rivals Inter Milan.
Roma took the lead in the 72nd minute as Mirko Vucinic headed home a cross by Brazilian fullback Cicinho.
Milan had Massimo Ambrosini sent off for a second yellow card in conceding an 80th minute penalty but Daniele De Rossi missed the Roma spot kick.
"I don't speak when we win, let alone when we lose," Milan president Silvio Berlusconi said. "Roma deserved it."
The win moved Roma up to second in the table, three points behind Inter, who were held to a 0-0 draw at Palermo, and one point above Juventus, who controversially lost 3-1 at Napoli on Saturday.
Fiorentina can go second and cut Inter's lead to two points if they beat Genoa at home in Sunday's late game.
In other matches on Sunday, Lazio lost 1-0 at Udinese who are fifth and Parma scored an odd goal in five victory over bottom club Livorno.
The late match saw a goalless draw between Genoa and Fiorentina who move up to third ahead of Juventus on goal difference. E-mail to a friend
