MILAN, Italy -- Milan's barren home run in Serie A continued when they were held to a goalless draw by Torino at the San Siro.

Fiorentina's Pazzinipunished a dreadful error by Lazio keeper Marco Ballotta.

Milan scored five times in each of their previous away league matches and have a 100 percent record in home Champions League matches, but in Serie A it is a dismal story, with two defeats, four draws and just three goals in front of their own fans.

Striker Alberto Gilardino and midfielder Andrea Pirlo wasted first-half chances and Filippo Inzaghi fluffed the best opportunity of the second period

Milan are seventh in the table and 10 points behind the leaders.

A 19th minute goal from Giampaolo Pazzini sent Fiorentina up to second, as they won 1-0 at struggling Lazio.

Fiorentina have made an unbeaten start to the season and are within a point of top team Inter, who visit fourth-placed Juventus on Sunday.

With 23 points from 11 matches, Fiorentina have shrugged off the loss of international striker Luca Toni to Bayern Munich.

They were greatly assisted by Lazio's 43-year-old goalkeeper Marco Ballotta, who slipped trying to prevent a back-header from Emilson Cribari going out for a corner and fumbled the ball into the path of Pazzini, who tapped in.

Fiorentina coach Cesare Prandelli said: "We had a good start tonight, put pressure on and did well to close down all the spaces. It's a shame that we didn't score more, as we weren't sharp enough on the counter," he said.

"We have been growing as a team and as individuals. I think of people like Dario Dainelli, Alessandro Gamberini, Manuel Pasqual, Alessandro Potenza and Tomas Ujfalusi.

"They understood that to play well you don't just have to do it alone, you need to work as part of a team. Now they are receiving the praise they deserve." E-mail to a friend E-mail to a friend
