MILAN, Italy -- AC Milan battled to a 2-1 win at Cagliari for their fourth win in 12 Serie A games this season, rallying after falling behind to an early home goal.

Robert Acquafresca headed in Cagliari's goal in the fourth minute and home keeper Marco Fortin maintained their advantage by saving a 44th minute penalty by Kaka after his Brazilian compatriot Ronaldo had been fouled.
Alberto Gilardino grabbed the equalizer for Milan in the 61st minute with Andrea Pirlo grabbing the winner from a free kick with four minutes remaining.
Milan, now on 17 points, are trailing leaders and city rivals Inter Milan by 11 points.
In Sunday's late evening match there was a thumping 5-0 win for Turin giants Juventus over Palermo with Alessandro del Piero scoring twice.
French international striker David Trezeguet scored his 11th goal of the season to open the scoring just before the half hour mark.
Juventus move to second, three points behind Inter, on goal difference from Roma and Udinese who beat Siena 2-0.
Fabio Quagliarella and Antonio Di Natale scored the goals.
