FRANKFURT, Germany -- Germany will play Belarus and Serbia in two warm-up games shortly before next year's European Championship finals in Austria and Switzerland.

Germany coach Loew has arranged warm-up games with his Euro Championship opponents in mind.

The game against Belarus will take place in Kaiserslautern on May 27, followed by a match against Serbia on May 31 in Gelsenkirchen.

"We selected these two teams because they resemble in mentality and the way they play our European Championship rivals Poland and Croatia," Germany coach Joachim Loew said Wednesday.

The Germans will hold a training camp in Mallorca before the match in Kaiserslautern and will fly back to the Spanish island immediately after the game.

They will then return to Germany to play Serbia and will travel to the their European Championship base in Ascona, Switzerland on June 3.

Arminia Bielefeld striker Abdelaziz Ahanfouf is in intensive care in Germany after a car accident.

Ahanfouf, who drove his car into a truck in front of him late Monday, has brain swelling but no fractures and his injuries are not life-threatening, the club said Wednesday.

Ahanfouf was born in Germany, but has played for Morocco. E-mail to a friend E-mail to a friend
