COLOGNE, Germany -- Danish pair Thomas Bjorn and Soren Hansen share the lead going into the final round of the Mercedes-Benz Championship but it was third-placed Alastair Forsyth of Scotland who caught the eye.

The 31-year-old from Glasgow carded nine birdies and an eagle in a third round of 62 to close within a shot of the leaders on 11-under-par.
"I was just happy there wasn't a cut after the opening day and then I played better on Friday and today was great. It was one of those days where I gave myself lots of chances and took pretty much all of them," he said.
First-round leader Lee Westwood is in joint fourth after an erratic third round of 72 which an eagle, two birdies, two bogeys and a double bogey on the seventh.
The Ryder Cup star admitted he was struggling with a cold, but is still in contention going into the final day just two shots off the leaders.
Westwood is bracketed with Richard Green of Australia and compatriot Simon Khan.
German veteran Bernhard Langer is a shot further back, three off the lead at Gut Kaden, after third round 70.
Halfway leader Hansen shot a one-under-par 71 and was joined on 204 by Ryder Cup veteran Bjorn who carded a sparkling 66.
American star John Daly is out of contention after a 76, laboring to five bogeys on his front nine. E-mail to a friend ![]()
