MALLORCA, Spain -- Sergio Garcia will be aiming for his second win in four appearances at the Mallorca Classic -- the final counting event of the regular European Tour season which starts on Thursday.

Garcia finished runner-up at the British Open to Padraig Harrington earlier this year.
Home hope Garcia is certainly the star attraction at the Pula Golf Club which has been re-designed by his compatriot and double Masters champion Jose Maria Olazabal, but much of the focus will center on players who are battling to save their Tour cards.
The most notable player under threat of losing his status is Scotland's former Ryder Cup player Andrew Coltart who has struggled in recent years to reproduce the form that saw him receive a wild card for the 1999 match against the United States.
Coltart, who featured in the singles only at Brookline and lost to Tiger Woods, is a lowly 169th on the money list but is 41st on the all-time European Tour career money list.
The top 40 in that category also receive a tour card, and Coltart is just over $45,000 behind the now-retired Seve Ballesteros -- leaving the 37-year-old needing to finish 13th or better in Mallorca.
Earlier this season Coltart shot 27 for nine holes in the KLM Dutch Open at Zandvoort to equal the European Tour record - but faded to a share of 37th and has failed to record a single top 10 in 2007.
Also at stake, higher up the money list, is a place in the top 60 to qualify for the season-ending Volvo Masters at Valderrama in a week's time. E-mail to a friend ![]()
