Sam & Max

Kids and parents will love the humorous, puzzle-oriented games series "Sam & Max" which is perfect for older kids.

GameTap is a vast treasure chest of games featuring a wealth of titles created just for kids, not to mention a slew of titles rated E. Here are just a few great picks from the vault.

GameTap offers five Scooby-Doo games, all of which are better than decent. Their winning qualities, however, are their distinct re-creation of the TV show, from the sound effects to the dialogue, voice-acting, and storylines.

Sam & Max
Hilarious, short, and puzzle-oriented, the Sam & Max series is an excellent set of independently made titles perfect for older kids. Good for parents too.

Sid Meier's games
Sid Meier's games on GameTap comprise five titles ranging from Pirates to Civilization to Alpha Centauri, all of which are strategy based, accessible, and intelligently designed.

Where in the World Is Carmen San Diego?
Though a little aged (early to mid-1990s), the Carmen San Diego series nonetheless withstands the test of time by delivering great puzzles in exotic lands with witty dialogue. Creative and fun all the way through.

The Jumpstart series comprises a huge scale of educational, kid-oriented games ranging from language, animal, and artists games, to games specifically designed for kids in preschool to sixth grade.
