(CNN) -- Constance Griffiths at Western Digital and Woody Monroy at Seagate confirm there are two U.S. disk drive makers left in the United States.

Earmarks and Pork:

The new House Defense Appropriations bill contains $3 billion worth of earmarks for congressmen's pet projects...or pork. The bill contains an astonishing 1,339 earmarks.

The subcommittee's chairman, Democratic Rep. John Murtha of Pennsylvania, leads the group, with 48 earmarks worth $150.5 million. The subcommittee's former chairman, Republican Rep. Bill Young of Florida, was second, with 52 earmarks worth $117 million.
