KABUL, Afghanistan (CNN) -- A roadside bomb detonated Sunday in southern Afghanistan, killing three coalition troops and an Afghan interpreter, a U.S. military spokesman told CNN. The blast in Kandahar came a day after an attack in neighboring Uruzgan province, to the north, in which a coalition soldier was killed by a rocket-propelled grenade. Three Afghan National Army soldiers were injured in the RPG attack, according to a U.S. military news release. None of the soldiers' nationalities was released. They are part of NATO's International Security Assistance Force. |
