(CNN) -- True or False: As hermaphrodites, all earthworms can fertilize themselves when they want to reproduce.
The answer is: FALSE
While some earthworms are able to fertilize themselves in a process known as parthenogenesis, these creatures are the exception as opposed to the norm. this is not the norm. As with other creatures, earthworms typically need another earthworm to reproduce.
