Soloman Trujillo was made CEO of Telstra in July, 2005 and has been leading an end-to-end transformation of the company, continuing to develop the company as a media communications organization.

Prior to joining Telstra he was CEO of London-based Orange, the first American to lead a CAC-40 company; President and CEO of U.S. West Dex Inc.; President and CEO of U.S. West Communications; and CEO and Chairman of U.S. West Inc.

Mr Trujillo holds a Bachelor of Science with a major in business and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Wyoming. He received honorary doctorates from both the University of Wyoming and the University of Colorado.

Mr Trujillo was the first native-born Hispanic-American to serve as CEO of a Fortune 150 company.
