(CNN) -- In Focus -- The Dubai Mindset

At a time when the global credit crunch is making investors contemplate where to put their money, the United States is becoming like a less attractive investment.

In the past, the Middle East looked to the U.S. both economically and politically. But now, the region doesn't necessarily need to look anywhere else. The Gulf, in particular, has created so much activity that it is now a hotbed of investment.

MME takes the show on the road to Dubai, and looks at this change in mindset from the region's businessmen.

Facetime with Saeed al Muntafiq

Saeed al Muntafiq has seen the tiny Emirate of Dubai grow from a small trading hub to the thriving city it is today, and he has played a huge part in the expansion and diversification of Dubai.

This week, John Defterios sits down with the Executive Chairman of Tatweer. Al Muntafiq talks to MME about the changes he has witnessed in the Emirate, whether Dubai's rapid growth has created an economic bubble, and what he sees for the Emirate's future.
