LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) -- A mixed martial arts fighter and his wife have been found shot to death in their Southern California home, authorities said.

The bodies of Justin Levens and Sarah McLean-Levens were found Wednesday afternoon in their Laguna Niguel condominium by the woman's mother, who then called authorities, according to Jim Amormino, a spokesman for the Orange County Sheriff's Department.

Authorities said the bodies were found in a bedroom and a gun was also found at the scene.

Amormino said homicide investigators are looking into the case as a possible murder-suicide. There were no signs of a struggle, he said.

Levens, 28, competed in the Ultimate Fighting Championship and has a 7-2 mixed martial arts record, according to the UFC Web site.
