The Screening Room Xtra: Cannes

(CNN) -- Like a fine baguette on the Croissette, "The Screening Room" is about to become longer, fresher and crisper as we launch a new monthly show -- "The Screening Room Xtra."

It's a second helping of tasty morsels from the movie menu, which we couldn't digest in our regular monthly show.

There'll be more behind the scenes footage, in-depth interviews and features in what we hope will be light-hearted look at a business which sometimes takes itself a little too seriously.

Plus, there will be more opportunities to hear from you as we court feedback from film fans.

This month we bring "The Screening Room's" Cannes episode up to date with events which happened after the show went to air -- including the winner of the Palm d'Or.

Plus, we follow two very different Cannes virgins as they take their films to the Croisette for the first time.

We create the opportunity for them to put questions to renowned director Spike Lee and talk to them before and after the festival to compare their experiences.

And, we take in high-end Cannes -- where billionaire Bollywood businessmen compete for attention alongside the fashion houses of Europe.

We'll have news of exclusive podcasts, extended interviews and behind-the-scenes images of Myleene and the team at work in Cannes.
