(CNN) -- Andy Murray will miss next week's ATP tournament in Indianapolis so that he can concentrate on his preparations for the Olympic Games.

An announcement on the British player's Web site said: "Andy wants to take some rest and recharge his batteries before a very grueling period, including the Beijing Olympics."
Murray is expected to play both the singles and the doubles with older brother Jamie in Beijing.
Andy, ranked nine in the world, reached the quarterfinals at Wimbledon before falling in straight sets to the eventual champion Rafael Nadal.
The highlight of his performance was a remarkable five-set triumph over Richard Gasquet, after trailing by two sets and 4-5 in the third.
