LONDON, England -- England coach Fabio Capello watched Wayne Rooney inspire Manchester United's 2-0 FA Cup victory and was delighted that his first day in his new job coincided with the striker's best performance for weeks.

Ronaldo breaks the deadlock at Villa Park with an 81st minute goal.
Rooney, who has been out of form and missed two games with a virus, went on as a 70th minute substitute for the Red Devils at Villa Park on Saturday.
He started the move that led to Cristiano Ronaldo's 81st minute strike and then added the second with a minute to go with a 20-meter shot.
"It was also good to be at a game where a lot of the players were English," Capello said on the FA Web site.
"And of course to see a player like Wayne Rooney come on as a substitute in such good form, and have a major impact on the game, was good for me on my first day."
Of the players who started the third round game, six Villa and three United stars were English.
FA Cup holders Chelsea disposed of visiting Queen's Park Rangers with the help of a streaky 28th minute goal, which was enough to settle the tie.
Claudio Pizarro's shot hit an upright before striking QPR goalkeeper Lee Camp and bouncing into the net.
Tottenham, who had beaten Reading 6-4 in a Premier League thriller the previous week, were held 2-2 by the same opponents at White Hart Lane.
Bulgarian striker Dimitar Berbatov, who scored four goals in the earlier clash, notched two more in another thrilling encounter, but Steve Hunt matched him with a brace for Reading.
England international goalkeeper Paul Robinson was at fault with both Reading goals and Tottenham's Tom Huddlestone was sent off after a clash with Bobby Convey in the 82nd minute. E-mail to a friend ![]()
