LONDON, England -- Manchester United stars Cristiano Ronaldo and Nani will miss Portugal's friendly international against Greece in Germany on Wednesday through injury.

Ronaldo, above, and Nani have withdrawn from Portugal's friendly against European champions Greece.
Both players suffered leg strains in the 3-0 Premier League victory against Liverpool on Sunday, Portuguese team doctor Henrique Jones said Monday.
Portuguese coach Felipe Scolari opted not to replace them for a match that is a repeat of the Euro 2004 final in Lisbon which Greece won.
Jones said that goalkeeper Ricardo Oliveira and defender Ricardo Carvalho have recovered from injuries and are fit for the European Championship warm-up match in Duesseldorf.
Oliveira had a shoulder injury, which caused him to miss last weekend's game with his Real Betis team in the Spanish league, while Carvalho injured his head during Chelsea's game with Arsenal on Sunday.
World Cup winning striker Thierry Henry has been ruled out of France's friendly with England at the Stade de France on Wednesday.
The nature of the Barcelona star's injury was not revealed and he was replaced in the 39 man squad -- France A play a friendly against Mali on Tuesday -- by Lens' Loic Remy.
Earlier Juventus striker David Trezeguet was called up by France following an injury to Karim Benzema.
It will be his first appearance in the squad since the upset 1-0 loss to Scotland in a Euro 2008 qualifier in Paris in September.
Trezeguet's recall was unexpected as he had said after being left out of the original 39-strong squad for the two games that there was a lack of confidence between himself and coach Raymond Domenech.
Benzema, the rising star of French football, twisted his left knee in the first half of Lyon's league game against Paris St Germain on Sunday which the champions won 4-2. E-mail to a friend ![]()
