(CNN) -- French star Thierry Henry will not be leaving Barcelona at the end of the season, the Catalan club's vice-president Ferrari Soriano insisted on Sunday.

Henry's has showed only glimpses of his best goalscoring form for Barca this season.
Reacting to media reports that Henry was primed for a return to the Premier League with a London club, Soriano told BBC radio that this was not the case.
"I don't think so. I spoke with him at length a week ago and he is happy in Barcelona," he said.
"We were a bit disappointed because the team we have is the team to win all competitions and we are not doing very well in the domestic championship.
"But apart from that he is fine and I'm sure he is not coming back to the UK."
Henry has endured an indifferent first season with Barcelona since his high-profile move from Arsenal in close season and has seen them fall nine points behind Real Madrid in the Spanish title race.
Soriano refused to give unequivocal backing to coach Frank Rijkkaard, but said the club's focus was on their Champions League semifinal first leg against Manchester United on Wednesday.
"The two matches against Manchester United are very important for them and for us. And we don't want to talk about anyone else." E-mail to a friend ![]()
