(CNN) -- Meanwhile, Niko Kovac scored the only goal in the 30th minute, as Croatia withstood a late rush to defeat Moldova 1-0 in their friendly match in Rijeka.
Kovac's header off a cross from Ivan Rakitic followed a period in which Igor Budan, Ivica Olic and Rakitic produced five consecutive chances in the first 10 minutes.
Coach Slaven Bilic made a series of late substitutions, visibly weakening Croatia and enabling Moldova to dominate the last 20 minutes -- with Valeriu Andronic and Alxandru Gatcan both having chances to score.
Croatia also will face Hungary in Budapest on May 31 before heading to Vienna to open their Euro 2008 campaign against co-hosts Austria on June 8.
Switzerland enjoyed a 2-0 friendly win over Slovakia in Lugano, just two weeks before the finals of Euro 2008 get underway.
Midfielder Valon Behrami opened the scoring in the 56th minute before he then turned provider seven minutes later setting up the second goal for veteran striker Alex Frei. Captain Frei is now just one international goal away from the record of 34 set by Kubilay Turkyilmaz.
He could equal the record, or even beat it, next Friday when the Swiss take on Liechtenstein in their final warm-up match.
