LONDON, England (CNN) -- Arsenal would be an ideal transfer option for Andrei Arshavin because of the influence of manager Arsene Wenger, the Russian midfielder's agent claims.

"The stable situation in the club and the influence of Arsene Wenger to Arsenal and to English football is huge. I think this is an advantage," Dennis Lachter told Sky Sports News.

"If Arsenal go for Arshavin it could be really good for both parties. Arsenal is a very young team and Arshavin is 27.

"There's something about combining young and older players, they propagate attacking football."

Arshavin's goals helped Guus Hiddink's Russia reach the semifinals of last month's European Championships where they lost to tournament winners Spain.

The Zenit St Petersburg player was reportedly a target for Spanish giants Barcelona but it now appears he favors a move to the Premier League and north London.

Arsenal have already signed top French prospect Samir Nasri from Marseille but are expected to allow unsettled Belarussian midfielder Alexander Hleb to join Barcelona.

The 21-year-old Nasri said: "Last season I found the Arsenal way of playing football amazing. I like offensive, technical and quick football -- in my opinion, Arsenal produced the best football in Europe."

Lachter, meanwhile, suggested that new Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola's lack of experience could impact on his client's desire to join the Camp Nou giants.

"Guardiola was an excellent player, but no one knows what kind of a manager he is," he said.
