(CNN) -- New Spain coach Vicente del Bosque has named Barcelona teen sensation Bojan Krkic in his squad for next week's friendly against Denmark, the nation's first match since winning Euro 2008.
Barcelona starlet Bojan is set to win his first Spanish cap against Denmark next week.
Krkic, who turns 18 later this month, has yet to win his first cap, but was called into the squad by former coach Luis Aragones for a friendly against France in February.
The striker, whose Serbian father, also named Bojan Krkic, played for Red Star Belgrade, missed out on Euro 2008 due to fatigue.
Del Bosque included three new faces: Atletico Bilbao defenders Andoni Iraola and Fernando Amorebieta and Seville winger Diego Capel.
But there still is no place for Real Madrid striker Raul, who was sidelined under Aragones and has not played since September 2006. "We did not think it was the right time to call on him," said del Bosque, who was Raul's coach at Madrid.
Del Bosque insisted last month that the door is not closed to the 30-year-old Real captain, the leading all-time scorer for the national side with 44 goals.
Arsenal's Cesc Fabregas and Valencia's defender Carlos Marchena are both unavailable due to injury.
Del Bosque replaced Aragones after Spain's 1-0 victory over Germany in the final of Euro 2008 in June and Wednesday's match in Copenhagen will be Spain's first since that triumph.
