(CNN) -- Chelsea striker Didier Drogba could be back in action on Wednesday, when Ivory Coast face Guinea in a friendly international at Chantilly. near Paris.

Drogba was not able to play in Chelsea's 4-0 defeat of Portsmouth on Sunday.
Knee problems kept him out of the Ivorians' tour of Japan last May and four 2010 World Cup-African Nations Cup qualifiers the following month.
He was also on the sidelines when Chelsea opened the new league campaign with a 4-0 hammering of Portsmouth on Sunday.
Drogba, who had knee surgery last December, was included in a 23-strong squad for the game against Guinea and Barcelona's Yaya Toure is also recalled by Serbian coach Vahid Halilhodzic.
Halilhodzic brings back Spain-based Felix Djah, after a seven-year absence and Aruna Dindane, Arouna Kone and Bakary Kone are also recalled.
Drogba scored four times when the sides last met, in a 2008 African Nations Cup quarterfinal in Ghana last February which Ivory Coast won 5-0.
Guinea goalkeeper Kemoko Camara has given up the international game since then and Youssouf Toure from local club Fello Stars and France-based Naby Yattara will now compete for his place.
Teenage midfielder Mamadi Keita, yet to make his debut for Hamburg in the Bundesliga, has been named in a squad led by Pascal Feindouno.
