(CNN) -- A high-speed train ran into a railroad work site in China this week, killing 18 people and injuring nine, the Chinese news agency reported Friday.
Railroad workers were relocating tracks when a train slammed into their work site at 120 kph (75 mph) an hour, according to the Xinhua news agency.
The workers had entered the work area several hours ahead of schedule, the agency said. The incident occurred in the Shandong Province of eastern China. E-mail to a friend ![]()
