(CNN) -- True or False: The electric car was invented in the early 1800's.
The answer is: TRUE
The world's first ever electric car was invented in Scotland somewhere between 1832 and 1839 by an inventor called Robert Anderson.
Around the same time, in 1834-5, an American, Thomas Davenport created the first "practical" electric car which could run on the road.
