SYDNEY, Australia (CNN) -- Thirteen years after Australian model Caroline Byrne was found dead below a cliff in Sydney, Australia, her then-boyfriend has been found guilty of her murder.
The Supreme Court of New South Wales convicted Gordon Wood on Friday morning, and he will face a potential life sentence, according to court spokeswoman Sonya Zadel.
Sentencing is set to begin November 27, though Wood will likely appeal, the court spokeswoman said.
The celebrity murder case was splashed across the front pages of newspapers all over Australia on Friday.
Wood is former chauffeur to flamboyant Australian multi-millionaire Rene Rivkin, who died in an apparent suicide in 2005.
