MOSCOW, Russia (CNN) -- At least six people were killed in an explosion at an apartment building in Russia on Monday, according to the Russian news agency ITAR-TASS.
The dead include a four-month-old child, the agency said.
The explosion happened at 2:18 a.m. Monday local time (9:18 p.m. Sunday E.T.). A tenant who was heating an apartment with a gas oven may be to blame, authorities said, ITAR-TASS reported.
The blast displaced 58 people in Zheleznovodsk, a city of roughly 25,000 people in southwestern Russia, north of its border with Georgia. E-mail to a friend
