GAZA CITY (CNN) -- The Israel Defense Forces carried out two airstrikes against targets in northern Gaza early Saturday, killing two Palestinian militants, according to an IDF spokeswoman and Palestinian security sources.

Mourners gather for the funeral of a Palestinian militant killed in an airstrike on Gaza.

The aerial attacks against rocket launchers and a car carrying rockets east of Jebaliya came as Palestinian militants fired two rockets into Israel Saturday morning, the IDF spokeswoman said.

No damage was reported from Saturday's attacks, the IDF said.

At least 30 Qassam rockets -- a makeshift device used by Palestinian militants -- and 10 mortars were fired by militants into Israel on Friday, bringing to 220 the number of rocket and mortar attacks from Gaza in the past week, the IDF said.

The Israeli Army has retaliated with military strikes that have killed at least two dozen Palestinians.

On Friday, the IDF carried out two airstrikes on an old Interior Ministry building in Gaza City, killing one Palestinian woman and injuring 14 people, Palestinian security sources and doctors said.

Two of the 14 were critically injured, doctors in Gaza said. Earlier, Palestinian security forces reported that more than 60 were injured in the airstrikes.

The old Interior Ministry building, located in a residential area, was no longer being used, they said.

Aryeh Mekel, a spokesman for the Israeli Foreign Ministry said Friday's airstrikes were in response to rockets Hamas and other militant groups have fired into southern Israel.

Israel "will put an end to the rockets being fired" and take "whatever measures are necessary," he said, adding, "Today was one of those measures."

Earlier Friday, Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak ordered troops to close border crossings that lead to and from Gaza, a spokesman said Friday.

The closure will block the entrance of food, fuel and medicine, but Palestinians who need medical treatment will be allowed to cross, a spokesman for Israel's defense minister told CNN. The military will re-evaluate the closure in a few days, the spokesman said.

Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said Thursday that Israel will continue its campaign against militants in Gaza. He said Israel has "no desire to harm the residents" of Gaza but will fight extremists there "without compromise and without pity." E-mail to a friend E-mail to a friend
