John Brek, 55, of Linden, New Jersey, was arrested Tuesday and charged with making terroristic threats, Port Authority spokesman John Kelly said.

A search of Brek's home turned up at least 40 firearms, Kelly said, all of which appear to be legally owned.

U.S. Secret Service spokesman Ed Donovan said that the man worked for a private security firm at the airport and that he denied making the threats when he was interviewed by Port Authority police.

The arrest came one day before Obama's scheduled appearance at a campaign rally for New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine on Wednesday evening in Hackensack.
