LONDON, England -- In Mexico, few residents now venture out without a surgical face mask as the swine flu outbreak grips the country.

However some residents are keeping a positive attitude and injecting some fun into wearing face masks by decorating and personalizing them.

Among the different types of customized masks are ones with large grins and moustaches drawn on.

The trend was also popular during the 2003 Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) outbreak in Asia.
