(CNN) -- Reality television star Kourtney Kardashian gave birth to a baby boy Monday.

Mason Dash Disick was born in Los Angeles, California, weighing 7 pounds, 6 ounces, and measuring 19.5 inches long. This is the first child for Kardashian, 30, and her boyfriend, Scott Disick, 26.

Kourtney, the oldest of the three Kardashian sisters who appear on the E! network shows "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" and "Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami," announced she was pregnant in August. She shared news of the pregnancy with radio host Ryan Seacrest.

"We were in the Everglades, and I kept feeling nauseous and sick, and I just kept thinking, like, something wasn't feeling right," she told Seacrest.

The birth of Mason Dash caps off a year of exciting news for the Kardashian family. In September, Kourtney's younger sister Khloe wed Los Angeles Laker Lamar Odom after a whirlwind romance.

A recent promotional ad for "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" capitalized on the drama in the lives of the Kardashian women. The ad featured pregnant Kourtney; Khloe, showing off her wedding ring; and Kim Kardashian, all clad in revealing lingerie. The ad proclaimed: "What a difference a year makes."
