(CNN) -- Top seed Andy Roddick edged out Lleyton Hewitt in a battle of the former world number ones to reach the final of the Memphis Open.

American Roddick fought back from losing the opening set to defeat Hewitt 2-6 7-6 6-4 and remain on course for his 27th career title.
Roddick, who hammered down 16 aces, will now face Czech fifth seed Radek Stepanek, who eliminated Israeli qualifier Dudi Sela 6-3 6-1.
In-form Stepanek, ranked 21st in the world, won last week's ATP event in San Jose and has not dropped a set all week. He ousted Sela in under an hour, without facing a break point.
Meanwhile, second seed Victoria Azarenka of Belarus claimed her second title of the season, beating top-seeded Dane Caroline Wozniacki 6-1 6-3 in the women's event to add the Memphis crown to the first career title she won in Brisbane, Australia last month.
