(CNN) -- Togo look set to risk the wrath of Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger by playing striker Emmanuel Adebayor in their World Cup qualifier against Cameroon this weekend.
Adebayor looks set to play for Togo this weekend despite being sidelined through injury for over a month.
The 25-year-old has been out since the start of February with a hamstring injury and is not due back in action until after the international break, but still travelled to Accra ahead of Saturday's African Group One qualifying clash.
Togo coach Jean Thissen has confirmed the frontman is firmly in his plans, telling PA Sport: "Ade did not come here for nothing, he is here to play against Cameroon.
"He is the main man for the national team. He is my captain, the nation can count on him. He has always given his best for the country so he will be a boost to the squad. He is a wonderful player."
Meanwhile, Wenger expects England winger Theo Walcott to be fully fit when Premier League action resumes against Manchester City on April 4 following a knee problem.
With the first leg of their Champions League quarterfinal against Villarreal three days later, Arsenal will also be hoping captain Cesc Fabregas can also be available for that game after more than three months out with a knee injury.
