(CNN) -- Mexico has qualified for a fifth straight World Cup after beating El Salvador 4-1 in its Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football match.
Besides winning the CONCACAF Gold Cup in July, Mexico has won five straight World Cup qualifiers since June 6, CONCACAF.com reports.
Mexico will be joined by the United States, who are now also on their way to South Africa after beating Honduras 3-2.
