(CNN) -- Juventus moved within a point of Serie A leaders Inter Milan as they hammered Sampdoria 5-1 on Wednesday night to leapfrog their opponents into second place in Italy.

Goals from Amauri after 26 minutes and Giorgio Chiellini just before the break gave Juve a two-goal cushion at halftime.

Mauro Camoranesi struck five minutes after the break, Amauri got his second after 62 minutes before Giampaolo Pazzini pulled one back a minute later.

Substitute David Trezeguet completed the rout two minutes from time for Juve.

Champions Inter face Palermo and will look to stretch their lead to four points with a win on Thursday.

AC Milan's winning run came to an end as they lost a two-goal lead in the dying moments at Napoli in a 2-2 draw.

The Rossoneri appeared to be cruising to victory when goals from Filipo Inzaghi and Alexandre Pato put the 2-0 up inside the first five minutes.

Ignazio Abate was sent off for the visitors four minutes from time before Luca Cigarini netted a stunning volley in the last minute and fellow substitute German Denis headed his side level three minutes into stoppage time.

Parma move up to fourth ahead of Milan's place with a 2-0 win over Bari with substitute Valeri Bojinov (58) and Alberto Paloschi (66) scoring while a second-half goal from Alessandro Matri saw Serie A strugglers Lazio lose to Cagliari.
